Barbaresco
The name Barbaresco comes from the homonymous town in the province of Cuneo, where a the end of the 19th century the wine expert Domizio Cavazza bought a castle and its sourrounding vineyards and began the production of this excellent wine.
According to the production area this wine can be slightly different: for example if Barbaresco is produced in the area of Treviso it is more full-bodied, if it is produced in the area of Neive it is more delicate.
Barbaresco is an italian red wine, which is produced in the Langhe region, in the towns near Barbaresco, Treviso and Neive.
Barbaresco is a wine produced using only 100% Nebbiolo vines.
The Barbaresco must be aged almost 2 years and 9 months of them must be aged in oak barrels or in chestnuts wood barrels.
Barbaresco Riserva instead must be aged 4 years before it can be sold.
