Food Blogger
Foodbloggers are people having a strong passion about food, that cook, take pictures and share recipes about what they realized. In Italy, foodblogging is a quite recent phenomenon started during the 2000s, with the first online blogs, including “Il Cavoletto di Bruxelles” by Sigrid Verbert, “Il Forno” by Alberto Chinalli, “Peperosso” di Massimo Bernardi and many others. Recently, the increasing and massive spread of social media contributed to food lovers’rise, in particular on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest, where they can quicker and better communicate with other people, sharing the same passion for food. The majority of foodbloggers come from different sectors, but complementary to the one of food: writing, photography, web marketing, communication and press are the most popular. Moreover, they start by opening a personal blog on their own, that generally is not only about recipes (more similar to a life journal), or by joining big food platforms (in Italy, Giallo Zafferano, Cookaround, Ricette della Nonna are the most popular) to share their own recipes. In 2016, many Italian foodbloggers founded and joined the Italian Foodblogger Association (AIFB), with the aim of sustaining and sharing the growth and promotion of this figure. In the following sections, it is possible to find some among the Italian most popular foodbloggers on main social media platforms.
