Barolo Chinato
Barolo Chinato is a flavored wine produced by adding sugar to Barolo DOCG and ethyl alcohol in which previously were placed in slow maceration at room temperature different spices (formerly called drugs). In the tradition was used as an antidote for small colds diseases (such as hot mulled wine) and as a digestive. Production area: Serralunga d'Alba (Piedmont); Designation: DOCG Color: garnet Taste: bitter Aroma: intense and elegant bouquet Best Cellars: Cocchi, Ceretto, Chaplain Pairing: meditation wine (instead of Port, Marsala virgin or liqueur wines in general). Its aromatic persistence optimal with bitter chocolate.
