Pinot Grigio
The name "Pinot" seems to derive from "cone", signifying both the modest size of the bunch, that the characteristic of having the thick grapes, draw near, just like the scales of a pine cone. Its production is widespread in Veneto, but also in Friuli and Alto Adige. It has a coppery color, often vinified in white. The Pinot Grigio it's ideal with starters, particularly the meats, fish and white meats. It can also be served as an aperitif.
