The ageeing of Amarone Riserva takes place in oakbarrels and then in barriques. The ageing period between the wine-making and the bottling IMBOTTIGLIAMENTO must be longer than 2 years. Amarone can become „Riserva“ when it is ageed for 4 years since the 1st November after the wine-making and it has a ESTRATTO SECCO of 32,0 g/l.
