Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo is a DOC wine whose production is allowed in the provinces of Chieti, L'Aquila, Pescara and Teramo. It has always been considered as a kind of wine belonging to the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, as a product basically the same grapes, but since 2010/2011 has changed its name because it was recognized as D.O.C. wine in its own right. It presents a cherry red color, a pleasant scent, delicately winey, fruity, fine and intense and a dry, soft, harmonious, delicate with pleasantly almond aftertaste.
