This type of wine has definitely not a 'poetic name'. But contrary to what their name suggests, it is not about products gone bad, but the sweet wines of particular value behind which is a long and skilful preparation. They are also called 'wine botrytized' and we are going to explain why. The grape is a noble rot, Botrytis cinerea, which requires very specific climatic conditions.
