“Arrivederci” Vinitaly 2017
The 51st edition of Vinitaly, which took place on April 9th to12th in Verona, attracted more than 128,000 visitors from 142 countries. Billed as the world’s leading wine fair in terms of exhibition space and the number of attending operators from the international trade, the show’s global position in the wine world continues to gain momentum. Compared to the 2016 edition, this year could be considered “an edition of historical records” in terms of numbers: the number of international operators increased from the +6% from USA to the +12% from China and the number of foreign buyer jumped up 8% over 2016. Since in the past the Fair was solely for the trade, to satisfy consumers Vinitaly’s organizers created, in collaboration with the Municipality and the Province of Verona, a “fuorisalone” for wine lovers called “Vinitaly and the City”. Set up in different venues in the historic centre of Verona, “Vinitaly and the City” attracted like 35,000 wine drinkers from Italy and from worldwide who could choose between several different wine tasting events in Verona as well as on the Lake Garda shores in the town of Bardolino, well known production area of ??several excellent Italian wines.“Arrivederci” Vinitaly 2017
