Philosophy

The outstanding quality of the product: this isthe goal that the Company has always followed and achieved. Since itsestablishment, the Winery has always paid attention and resources to thecontinuous improvement of the product, from vineyard to bottling. Convertingthe whole production into an organic process was a winning choice for the Antonelli family; their idea was not only to protect the product wholesomeness and the environment, but also producing always the best wine. If a vineyard is self-sustainable then it gets a deeper expressive talent and the peculiarities of every vine variety are enhanced. In a sip of Sagrantino Antonelli San Marco, you get definitely the taste of Montefalco.

Production

The winemaking consists only on the private production from organic farming. The winemaking and subsequently the drawing off is for gravity, it means without using pumps that could damage the integrity of the grape skin. It is a very important quality precaution for the Sagrantino grapes because of their richness of polyphenols and tannins. The cellar, built under the ancient manor, is divided in different places for the refining in barrel and bottle.

Terroir

The vineyards spread on wooded hills, the perfect microclimate for high quality grapes and olives. The soil, loamy and chalky, has different geological origins, lending the wine intense and variegated shades.
