Mozzarella Cheese
Mozzarella is an italian semi-soft cheese traditionally made from italian buffalo or cow fresh milk, salt, rennet and milk enzymes. His name comes from “Mozzatura” a term that refers to the production method of separeting the different mozzarella pieces from the dough. Mozzarella can be also made from sheep oder goat milk and can present a round shape and different weights, from “bocconcino” of only 80 grams to “zizzona” of 5 Kilos but also different shapes such as twist, roll or wiker wine bottle. In the italian cuisine mozzarella is served in many different ways: with raw ham, with tomatoes and basil in the traditional dish “caprese” but also as main ingredient in many kinds of pizza.
