The Award Ceremony of The Global Gourmet 2017 International Wine Review in China was held on 18th August 2017 at Intercontinental Hotel in Beijing with the participation of many VIP, journalists, importers, wineries from all over the world and the patronage of Italian Trade Agency (ITA).

Tosti with the wines of Torlasco was the only winery, all over the world, that got all the awards: “3 Diamonds” with the Moscato d’Asti DOCG, “2 Diamonds” with the Barolo DOCG, “1 Diamond” with the Barbaresco DOCG and the “Most Popular Award” both with the Moscato d’Asti DOCG and Barbaresco DOCG.

With 5 awards Torlasco was the most awarded winery in the world for this big event and global review. 

Omaggio a Gino Friedman, one of the best Italian Lambrusco in Italy (3 glasses Gambero Rosso for 3 consecutive years) of the Cantina of Carpi and Sorbara was awarded with “1 Diamond”.

At the event the new Head of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Italian Embassy in China, Mr. Emanuele de Maigret delivered a speech in which underline the importance to be present for the Italian wineries in China.

At the event attend all the more import Chinese magazines, international hotels, multinational VIP companies and the more famous chef in China, Da Dong. Of course 100ITA will attend this important event with some of the excellences of the Italian territory and together the most awarded winery (Torlasco). 

The ceremony was a great success and an opportunity to sign Memorandum of Understanding between various companies.

Italian wines and Italian wineries have to come more and more often in China in order to transfer the real culture of the Italian wine and the original Italian life style behind.
