TIME KNOWS THE ANSWER TO ART

"Time knows the Answer to Art", this is the title of the 20th anniversary exhibition of Galleria Continua in Beijing, and it also represents an answer to ideals, beliefs and continuous choices.

Twenty years ago, Galleria Continua set off from San Gimignano in Italy and opened its first international gallery space in the Beijing 798 Art District. Today, this gallery that adheres to its ideals has held 61 exhibitions and countless cross-cultural dialogues in Beijing.

Twenty years later, as we look back on this journey, "time" becomes the most touching footnote. Just as curator Yu Ke said in the preface of the 20th anniversary exhibition: "The passion aroused by art is to make the time we experience valuable." From Chen Zhen to Gu De Xin, from Daniel Buren to Anish Kapoor, Galleria Continua witnessed the transition of a generation of artists and also participated in the transformation of Chinese contemporary art from the periphery to the global stage.

This is not merely the story of a gallery, it is also an answer about time. When art remains evergreen after traversing twenty years of ups and downs, the answer has already been wafting in the wind.

As a special exhibition to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Beijing Space, fifteen artists from different backgrounds around the world were selected. They responded to the long-lasting and profound relationship between Galleria Continua and China through their own artistic languages. Among them were both international exhibition regulars and Chinese artists who had been working closely with Galleria Continua for a long time.

100ITA was honored to participate in the 20th anniversary exhibition of the Galleria Continua in Beijing. We brought along the hand-carved artworks by Italian artist Simone Filosi - marble roses. Roses are an eternal flower and also a universal symbol of the highest human emotions. The flower contains the mystery of beauty. Simone Filosi drew inspiration from the rose and attempted to bring the freshness, delicacy, the almost wonderful lightness and its fragility of this flower back to a dull stone. The rose will also become the main theme of Simone's artistic creation.

100ITA combines its authentic Italian wines and Italian hand-carved art roses, it captured the attention of all guests, satisfying their curiosity and spreading the culture and love embodied in Italian-made products.
