The Decimi farm produces top-notch extra-virgin olive oil, its outstanding quality has been awarded at both national and international level.

Products

Decimi products gained many awards all over the world, the best gourmand in Italy and internationally praise them. Compared to the common extra-virgin olive oils, Decimi stands out for its three times higher polyphenol percentage, which gives it a strong antioxidant property. Among these great extra-virgin olive oils, we recommend Monocultivar Moraiolo,San Felice, Frantoio and Leccino. The most famous and prestigious is Emozione Extra-virgin olive oil, the spearhead of company production, which can be found in two versions Emozione DOP and Organic Emozione.

People

The love between two people, Graziano and Romina, begets the love for the land and for his precious fruits: from this marriage came the Emozione extra-virgin olive oil. 

Awards

Decimi’s extra virgin olive oils won every year, from 2007 until nowadays, the most prestigious national and international awards. Here we highlight the most important: Emozione Extra-virgin olive oil in 2014 won the gold medal at the NYOOC (New York olive Oil Competition) and at the “Il Magnifico” International Competition. “Moraiolo” Monocultivar extra-virgin at the Monocultivar Oil expo of 2012 was awarded as the “Best Olive Oil in the World”. In 2014 The Decimi olive-mill gained the “Gran Menzione” as “Best olive-mill in Italy” on the Gambero Rosso Guide of Best Italy Olive Oils; on the same guide in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 Decimi’s “Emozione” and “ Monocultivar Moraiolo” won the prestigious “3 leaves”.

Philosophy

Passion, strong commitment, “experimentation, innovation and obsessive attention to details” represent at best the Company’s vision. Although in 2014 olive oil experts considered Decimi’s the best olive oil in Umbria, the Producer’s decision not to commercialize the oil produced in the that year, a bad one, proves us how noble and committing is its philosophy.

Production

Graziano e Romina follow the olive production step-by-step: from the use of organic fertilizers to the harvest (hand picking)- in a limited period (15 days between the end of October and the first fifteen days of November) in order to keep the whole production is at the right degree of ripening. Then the olives are stored in steel barrels with a temperature controller to preserve them from fermentation. Very particular the choice of the Producer to exclusively make use, in the oil making, of rainwater, in order to avoid any possible chance of contamination.

Terroir

Decimi’s olive groves are located on the hills of Bettona, one of the most beautiful hamlets in Italy, in front of the Basilica of San Francesco from Assisi. One of the most greenish and peaceful territories that has always been the destination of continuous pilgrimages. 

History

Quality and love are not a matter of time. Graziano and Romina are passionate olive producers from just one generation, but their extra virgin olive oil’s outstanding international success has proven their ability.
